At the End of the Rainbow

Some colorful palmetto bugs will be crawling into your Instagram feeds this month as the Goldbug Collection introduces jewelry inspired by fourth-generation designer Mini Mariana Hay’s love of The Wizard of Oz. The “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” collection features a solid gold “gem bug” with wings bedazzled with tiny, gemstones as well a bug fob clasping a turquoise or lapis stone. Other pieces include gold bangle bracelets with colorful accents and earrings featuring our favorite insect. Watch out for these critters on the Goldbug website and at Croghan’s Jewel Box [308 King St., goldbugcollection.com]

Sunday Best

For lifestyle blogger Devon Finley, Sundays are for relaxing and self-care. That’s why she launched a line of home accessories appropriately named “Dear Sunday.” Finley debuted the line with a collection of eight, eight-ounce, hand-poured, natural soy wax candles with names such as “Ugh, Those Feels” with scents of black currant and absinthe and “Sweet Holy Honey” with notes of mango and coconut milk. Natural Beauty

Clean beauty shop Aillea has moved in with The Water Room nontoxic nail salon in the Cigar Factory, setting up in the former private party room and creating a one-stop destination for shoppers looking for organic hair care, skin care, and makeup as well as a fresh mani and pedi. Aillea, a Denver-based chain with five locations, debuted on King Street in May 2018, when Bare Beauty blogger Jessica Morse, the owner of The Water Room, hosted the grand opening party. Morse introduced her nail salon in January 2019 and recently added a second location in Atlanta. Aillea carries local favorites RMS and Maya Chia as well as Tata Harper, Ilia Beauty, and Kosas. On the Move

Styledwell Boutique has relocated to Indigo Village Shopping Center in West Ashley from its former Citadel Mall storefront. The shop moved into the space once occupied by children’s boutique Ellifox, which moved into a larger suite in the same shopping center. Mother and daughter duo Christie and Ashley Bishop founded Styledwell in 2013 and offer a trendy selection of dresses, tops, and accessories. [1662 Savannah Hwy., shopstyledwell.com]
