Find Your Pearl

If diamonds are a girl’s best friend, pearls may be a close second. On June 8 and 9, visit Croghan’s Jewel Box for a trunk show featuring the latest collection by Mizuki. Inspired by her background in visual art and sculpture, longtime New York jeweler Mizuki Goltz puts a modern spin on traditional pearl pieces. Grab your girlfriends and join Croghan’s in their upstairs drawing room to shop the unique line. 308 King St., croghansjewelbox.com

Making a Splash

Still searching for your summer suit? Bathing suit and vacation outfitter Tara Grinna Swim and Resort Wear, based in South Carolina, opens its seventh brick-and-mortar and first Lowcountry outpost. Come June 6, the Shops at Belmond Charleston Place get brighter and beachier as the new boutique offers a bounty of rainbow-hued swim separates designed for all body types—plus an array of accessories for hitting the sand. Need another reason to swing by? Shoppers can partake in complimentary mimosas in the morning and wine in the evening. Cheers! 234 King St., store.taragrinna-swimwear.com

Face Value

Cos Bar, lower King’s high-end cosmetics purveyor, has been peddling luxury products to the Holy City since 2010, but this April, it expanded its offerings to include an on-site mini spa. A partnership with Natura Bissé, one of Cos Bar’s leading skin-care lines, the spa room offers eight facial treatments, ranging from 30 to 80 minutes in length and catering to a number of needs (think hydrating, brightening, and contouring). Some packages even include massages and other elements to maximize relaxation and renewal. 201 King St., cosbar.com/charleston

Growing Up Fast

After less than a year in business, baby boutique Under the Almond Trees was ready to grow. So ready, in fact, that when owner Hillary Lamendola noticed that the space next door had gone up for sale, she took the leap. Little Almond Blossoms, the new sister shop, is stocked with even more clothes, shoes, toys, learning gadgets, and accessories. But the latest venture, which opened its doors on Mother’s Day, has more in store than backpacks and bows—“We hope to offer classes and events here too,” notes Lamendola. “The goal has always been to create a community.” 173 King St., littlealmondblossoms.com
