5 cups sliced strawberries, divided
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup orange juice
1 (750 ml) bottle rosé wine
1 cup raspberries
1 apple, halved and sliced
16 oz. soda water
Make a strawberry simple syrup by combining two cups of the berries with the sugar and water in a saucepan and bringing it to a low boil over medium heat. Simmer for about 10 minutes, until berries start to break down and syrup thickens, stirring occasionally. Using a sieve, strain the mixture over a bowl. Cover and chill the syrup.
In a two-quart container, combine the cooled syrup with the orange juice and rosé and stir in raspberries, the remaining strawberries, and apple slices. Chill for at least an hour for the flavors to meld. When ready to serve, combine with soda water in a large pitcher. Serve over ice
