The Party: Wildlife enthusiasts, oyster fanatics, and BBQ aficionados alike gathered in the Visitor Center Bus Shed for the SEWE Soirée, a laid-back affair where jeans and boots were the new black tie. The event, part of the 36th Southeastern Wildlife Exposition’s festivities, catered to all tastes, offering bites from both land and sea; Jim ‘N Nick’s Bar-B-Q served up their famous “whole hog pig pickin,’” and piles of fresh oysters were ripe for the cracking at communal tables. Complementing the mouth-watering food selections were an open bar and a dancefloor where guests got down to a high-energy performance by seasoned musical act Second Nature.
