The Party: The Cedar Room hosted Dee Norton’s 18th-annual Dinner Auction, a night of fine dining, lively bidding, and significant fundraising for the organization. Since its inception in 2001, the event has raised more than $2,900,000, contributing all funds to Dee Norton’s work ending and raising awareness for child abuse in the Lowcountry. This year, the party space was brightly decorated and bursting with flowers, and covetable live and silent auctions prizes were up for grabs, including diamond jewelry and Caddy Shack-inspired golf memorabilia signed by actor Bill Murray. Father/son musical team Bob Williams Duo played everything from classical to classic rock on guitar and violin, and the evening was capped off by impassioned speeches from executive director Carole Swiecicki and director of development and marketing Beverly Hutchison.
