The Party: Crowds gathered at the Charleston Convention Center for Gay Bingo, back after a three-year hiatus with the theme “Lipstick and Leather.” Emceed by fabulous drag queen and four-time host Patti O’Furniture, the fundraiser offered prizes such as local theater tickets, restaurant dinners, Charleston Cocktail Week discounts, and a wine and charcuterie workshop. In between rounds, guests mingled at one of four bars to sip Cathead Distillery signature cocktails, such as a “Honeysuckle Lemonade,” and grabbed fun party favors like rainbow fans, koozies, and tubes of MAC lipstick. Proceeds benefited Palmetto Community Care, an organization dedicated to assisting those living with HIV and AIDS in the Lowcountry, as well as providing STI testing and education services.
