Faithfully Yours

You may still be able to grab a ticket to one of NEEDTOBREATHE’s concerts at Charleston Music Hall tonight and tomorrow, but do it quick. Only a smattering of seats remain. That’s what happens when a Grammy-nominated, Billboard-chart-topping band that’s sold out venues like Red Rocks schedules a string of hometown shows (the first was last night).

“I’m stoked about finally getting to play the Music Hall—especially three nights of acoustic sets,” says vocalist and guitarist Bear Rinehart, who performs alongside his brother, Bo (guitar, vocals, and strings); Seth Bolt (bass and vocals); and Josh Lovelace (keyboard and vocals). The group has devoted the third leg of its All the Feels Tour to intimate, unplugged performances of works from its six studio albums.

Successfully straddling the fence between mainstream rock and contemporary Christian music, NEEDTOBREATHE donates $1 from every concert ticket sold to One World Health, which brings sustainable healthcare to impoverished communities in Nicaragua and Uganda. Those efforts, combined with funds raised by the annual NEEDTOBREATHE Classic golf tournament (2018’s is on April 23), have netted more than $1 million for the Charleston-based nonprofit over the last five years.

Look for the band to release new music—recorded in just a couple of weeks at Niles City Sound in Ft. Worth, Texas—next year, and know that it won’t be coming in the form of a typical full-length record. “We’ve made six albums now, and we felt it was time to change up the process a little bit,” explains Bear.
