King Street’s Haegur Plant Shop now has an in-house apothecary

An all-natural alternative for health and wellness has arrived on King Street. Modern Apothecary inside Bj Stadelman’s lively Hægur Plant Shop opened last month and offers holistic plant-based products such as bulk herbs, Young Living essential oils, and a custom line of herbal teas, tinctures, salves, and oil blends crafted by shop curator Ann Miller.

A massage therapist for 20 years who recently earned her certification as a holistic practitioner with training in aromatherapy and herbalism, Miller offers wellness consultations and craft product blends based on a customer’s particular needs.

She is available to customers Thursday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., though interested shoppers can peruse the products during Hægur’s regular hours.

“My passion is to educate people. I want them to not just come in, grab something off the shelf, and take it home to see if it works,” says Miller. “I want them to understand why it works, why their body is doing what it’s doing, and really teach them wellness and self care on a deeper level.” Find out more at haegur.com.
