St. Philip’s Tea Room

Taking place every spring at St. Philip’s Church, the Tea Room is a tradition that dates back to 1952. For the weeklong event, the church becomes a lunchtime restaurant hosted by numerous volunteer parishioners to raise money for mission projects, choirs, and youth ministries. The Charleston community is invited to gather together over homemade soups (including the beloved okra variety for which the event is known), salads, sandwiches, and desserts in the Parish House and courtyard, located within the church’s grounds on Church Street. St. Philip’s Church, 142 Church St. Monday-Friday, 11:30am-2pm. Prices vary with meal. (843)722-7734, stphilipschurchsc.org
